About Ace
**** Due to COVID restrictions, we are only accepting applications from our local LGAs - Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Cessnock, Maitland and Port Stephens ***
Hi! My name is Ace and I’m a 5 year old German Shepherd! I came into care through no fault of my own and am currently staying with my foster parents, 2 resident doggos and a resident kitty.
I’m super sweet and love to cuddle. I loooovee swimming at the beach and going for walks. I’m a very social boy and love all other dogs and cats. I travel in the car super well and very rarely bark. I’m completely house trained, know how to sit and respond to my name. I still get a little bit anxious in new environments and have some separation anxiety but my foster mum thinks with some time and a stable home I’ll get over it pretty quickly.
I think my ideal home would be one where there is someone home more often than not or a second doggo for me to hang out with. I do play a little bit rough sometimes so it would be better if this second dog wasn’t little. I like cats, but if my new home has one I’d probably need a slow introduction just to make sure we get along. I’d also prefer a home with someone familiar with my breed and is willing to groom/brush me regularly because I am a HAIRY boy. I think I’d be good with kids but due to my size (35-45kg) it would need to be older kids (10+) or dog savvy ones.
If you think I’d be a good fit for your family, let my foster parents know and they’ll send you through an application!
Loves and licks,
Ace!
