About Skye
** Although we will happily answer all enquiries, a formal application must be submitted to be considered as a potential home for Skye. If located outside of Wagga Wagga please also understand transport may be required. **
This beautiful girls goal in life is to truly be mans best friend. She is the most loyal, loving and goofy dog around.
Skye is very clever (and very food motivated) so she is easy to teach and catches on quickly.
No matter if you’ve left the house for 2 minutes or 2 hours she’ll be extremely happy and excited to see you.
Skye just wants to be part of the family and with you where ever you are. In bed, in the garden, at a cafe - she will happily be right there with you.
Skye is very playful and enjoys going for walks.
She has amazing manners and great with other dogs, kids and other animals.
Skye would make the perfect addition to any home.
Medical notes
Skye has been in a good paddock so to speak and is a little chonky (aren't we all after lock down). She would benefit from losing a few kilos to help take the pressure off her joints and reduce the risks of issues with her hips and so on further down the track.
Her left hip in particular (isn't an issue now but) could become problematic if her weight isn't brought under control.
Adoption details
Firstly you will need to complete an application with your name and address and contact details for the microchip records. Our online application form is available on our website https://radarescue.org/adoption
Or an application form can be requested by using the Email Carer feature on the pet's listing.
Please note that while we consider all applications in the order in which we receive them, our animals are not adopted out on a first come, first served basis. Our objective is to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable ‘forever’ home available to meet the animal's (and the person’s) characteristics and needs.
The final decision about which new home the animal goes to is made by the foster carer based on their knowledge and understanding of the potential home and the personality of the individual animal. Sometimes it may take several enquiries before you find the right RADAR furry friend for you!
We will need a non-refundable holding deposit of $50 minimum to hold a pet for you whilst awaiting everything to be finalised, however this amount is deducted from the adoption fee.
RADAR expects full payment on exchange of the pet or prior to it leaving on transport.
RADAR expects you to be responsible for transport costs. We can help source appropriate transport options or help find accommodation if you need to travel and stay overnight.
It is understood that if all goes wrong that you can return the pet safely and unharmed to RADAR for a full refund within two weeks of the adoption.
