About Bentley
Bentley is a 10 year old spoodle
Cocker spaniel x poodle.
He weighs 16kg, and yes he is on the heavy side. We don’t use the F word around him. We have put him on a controlled diet which he is HATING, but we need a home that will continue with his weight loss journey (4-5kg).
Bentley is in good health for his age but is showing signs of arthritis in his hips and lower back.
We have him on antiflammatry tabs to help, but would benefit with some supplements like turmeric, rosehip canine powder, fish oil and definitely his weight loss.
We have found out he has been passed around a lot over his life, but the last person said that he barked a lot??
We have him in a foster home and they have explained that his very vocal when you initially leave and when you return, but no neighbours have complained.
They have cats and he isn’t a fan, so their is extra barking and chasing the cats.
He is great with other dogs but loves to be the centre of attention for pats and cuddles.
He needs a home where he isn’t on his own a lot. He wants to be included in your everyday life.
And someone that has the financial ability to be able to look after him with his arthritis and his grooming costs.
He is on the Gold Coast
Adoption Fee is $550
Bentley will come with his brand new starter back pack (new bed, collar, lead, harness, bag of food, toys) he will have a hydro bath and his monthly nexguard spectra before he finds his forever home.
He is not a outside dog, he loves being indoors with his family.
Our job is to find his last and only forever home.
Medical notes
Has signs of arthritis
We have him on meloxicam
Adoption details
We shortlist and contact families who may fit the dogs needs. If indications are positive, normally after sleeping on it, a home check is organised, then an adoption agreement is completed, adoption donation (variable on account of age and health of individual dog) is transferred and the dog will become part of your family.
All our dogs have had a consultation with our vet, are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. As we want every dog to be in its own family we try and fit dogs into forever homes, we don’t offer “Trials”. Naturally unforeseen circumstances arise occasionally where it’s preferable dogs come back to us as per our adoption agreement.
