Medical notes
Wendy has a grade 3 heart murmur. An echo performed recently has found the cause to be a thickened heart chamber wall causing an obstruction to blood flow in two parts of her heart. (bilateral dynamic outflow obstruction).
Unfortunately this will likely get progressively worse in time and cause her to go into heart failure at some stage during her life. This might be some time in the coming months or might be a few or many years down the track.
Unfortunately with these conditions an exact time line is unknown. Her vet has recommended she has an echo every 6 months to track the progress of her heart.
Wendy needs to be an indoor only cat and you need to make sure she doesn't over exert herself.
Echo costs every 6 months could be around $700.
