About Magnum ~ 3.5yr Old Border CollieX(On Trial 26/9/21
Meet Magnum, the extremely excitable 3.5 year old Staffy x Border Collie. Magnum quickly warms up to people and is a well-mannered dog who loves affection, pats/scratches, and tug of war with his chew toys.
Magnum will make sure he is a part of any activity you’re doing: running, walking, reading a book, cooking, taking a nap, etc. He is food motivated and takes treats very gently. He gets very excited at dinner time and will jump around in circles which is a joy to watch.
He will need a family that knows he needs to have a lot of exercise and mental stimulation or he will get bored. Magnum has some basic obedience including sit and a reliable recall, though he may benefit from ongoing obedience training, particularly walking on the lead.
Magnum has been a loving companion to younger kids previously but we believe the best fit for him would be children older than 8yrs has he is still learning not to jump. A home with another dog, preferably older and around the same size, would also be suitable. Magnum is not suited to a home with cats or pocket pets.
As I love my humans so much, I’d love to go to a home where I am welcomed inside and be involved in my new family’s life. It would be great if someone worked part time and was mostly home during the days or I could go with them, as I get scared when left alone.
Magnum will love a medium-sized grassy backyard with plenty of room to roam. His new home would require secure 6ft fencing with no gaps or holes.
For more information or to meet Magnum, please contact his foster carer Amanda on their email drn.amanda@hotmail.com
