About Louise
Louise is a gorgeous sleek black girl with white stripes and socks.
She loves her humans. Louise is delighted to greet everyone she meets on her walks. At home she has even mastered the hug - She hugs you, an arm on each side of you and then she moves in for a smooch. At home Louise is very attached to her human so will follow you about until you settle in one room. She will struggle being left home alone for long periods so will need a home where her humans are home much of the time.
Louise is still getting used to meeting other dogs on her walks. She shows some anxiousness so will need a patient owner with some experience to help her become more relaxed meeting new dogs.
Those walks are very important to Louise, she needs her two daily walks, one can be longer and the other shorter just as long as she gets out on her adventures. If she gets her two good walks, Louise will settle on her bed for much of the day.
Louise is a cuddly, goofy girl with a playful nature.
No cat or small dog applications please.
No children under ten.
No full time workers unless working from home or there is another dog
We only consider applications who compete our Gumtree Greys online application.
When this is done we can make contact to discuss adopting a greyhound and potential suitable greys currently in foster care.
Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
During the COVID crisis, not all of our rescued Greyhounds will have the usual socialisation with other dogs so we may advise to use a muzzle in some situations until the dog is fully socialised.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
