About Kambi
The gentle and loving Kambi is ready to find her perfect family!
She’s not had the best start in life, and we are so determined to find this girl the best and most happy home we can! Kambi is crate and toilet trained, and is a dream to walk, very rarely pulling on the lead and easily corrected.
She loves being around her humans and is a smooch who loves to cuddle on the couch. She mostly does what she’s supposed to do but can have selective hearing at times. She can be a little timid around new people, especially men, but eventually comes out of her shell as she gets to know them more.
Apart from cuddling on the couch, her favourite things is being outside and going for walks, and she loves being car rides! She would be the perfect companion for someone who would like a happy and chilled dog to take everywhere with them; the pub, to friend’s house, local café, etc as she’d happily sit and just be content that she’s with you. She also loves running and gets very excited, and we believe she’d be a perfect running partner with a little training.
She very rarely barks, apart from when there’s a roast chook on offer and then she gets very excited, and even then it’s not very loud. Kambi has been around some children at the park with her foster family and is gentle and loving but would be best suited to a quiet home without loud or boisterous children.
She’s friendly with other dogs and walks well with them and could live with them, even small dogs, but definitely not a cat.
Walks are a dream with Kambi, she spent a week with a dog trainer and that has really paid off. High energy dogs that bound towards her can make her feel unsafe and sometimes she gives them a little warning growl to ward them off, but she’s never shown anything more than that.
We are looking for a quieter home for this girl, with or without another easy going dog. We prefer an adult home or one with older children who are not too loud. She needs a good daily walk and to be included in family activities. She is not a dog park dog.
You will need to be patient and loving to give her the space to build her confidence and be aware that she may always be on the shy side that prefers a quiet home life.
Kambi is the perfect companion and her beautiful personality is really beginning to shine through, whoever adopts her will be very lucky to have her.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
