About Boo
Beautiful Boo is a 10 year old German Shepherd who has spent the last 7 months being homed, loved and adored in her second home after her original owner of 9 years passed away suddenly last year. Now, sadly, again due to illness, Boo needs to find her forever home.
From her owner:
Boo has been such an important part of my life over the last 7 months. We have spent so much time together and she has transformed so much from when she first came to me.
Boo has just celebrated her 10th birthday. She’s not an old doggie in any way. She can race up 13 steps from the garden and skip through the house when she hears visitors knock on the front door. She loves people - all people. She adores her walks and gets so excited when she knows she is about to be taken out. She walks so well on her halti. She doesn’t like other dogs but is guided easily away when on a walk and will ignore other dogs when u keep on walking and cross the road.
She is an inside and outside dog but always sleeps inside at night on her bed. In the day she loves being in the garden pottering around but she will come & find you to check on you to make sure you are ok.
She loves playing ball and she is like lightning chasing it and bringing it back to you to you to keep throwing over and over. It’s her absolute favourite thing to do. At night she is quiet and will sleep in her bed in your room or in a cool spot outside your room.
Boo is loving but also independent. She doesn’t need to be attached to you but likes to just do her thing & then hang out and sit and watch you if you’re reading a book or watching tv. Boo is not a barker unless she spies a dog walking past the front garden fence. She doesn’t react to the dog barking next door unless she thinks something is going on. She doesn’t bark when people she knows visits. She has a sixth sense.
She loves tummy rubs and cuddles and she will sit on your foot when she comes to you. She doesn’t like her feet touched but she is fine with her legs if u need to hold one up to rub her tummy. She doesn’t like storms or thunder but doesn’t freak out or bark. She will just find you and want to sit by your side if it thunders and yo put tv on she will not react at all.
Boo has a bit of arthritis in her back legs but she is not stiff and is very physically active. She is well mannered and follows normal commands like come, sit, lie down. She is very smart. You can tell her to find her ball. The garden really is her favourite spot in the day.
Best suited to a couple or single person.
Friends are always shocked at her age when they meet her as she is so active. Her coat is beautiful. She is lovely xx

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need Website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. My emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
Please note all our cats are indoor cats only.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
