About Shiloh
Hiya! I'm Shiloh, a 5 year old stunning and smiley cream kelpie girl. Foster Mum says I'm a delight to have around and keep company aaaallll day long!
I have my basic training down pat; I can sit, drop, sit and wait for my food, am crate trained and I have excellent recall. My lead walking however, is still a work in progress and is something that will need ongoing training.
Foster Mum says I'm a great little farm companion. I love to jump on the ute and run with the bike, exploring and checking up on everything. I've met the chooks on lead and was interested in them but respectful and responsive, same with the sheep. I am not a working stock dog.
I get along great with all of the other kelpies in my foster home, as well as the mini sausage dog. I do love to play a good intense and fun game of chasey with the other dogs, so any doggy siblings in my forever home would be best matched if they are also up for full on play!
While I have good basic training and manners, I'm a confident and extremely smart girl, and I need a forever human or family who are very well experienced with working breeds and understand how to implement firm boundaries, as given an inch, I'd take a mile.
It doesn't take me long to bond with my people once they've given me guidance and direction, and then I'm as loyal and loving as a kelpie comes!
I do love a good pat and have been an inside dog previously, however at present I am happy being an outdoors farm dog.
Suburban or farm fam, I don't mind, but either way you will need to be committed to stimulating my mind and body every day!
If you think you fit the bill for my forever fam, then don't delay and apply today!
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you MUST firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
