Bob came to Maneki Neko cat rescue in a bit of a hot mess ! Life has been rough for this boy , having undergone pinnectomy surgery to remove the cancerous skin tissue around ears, entropion surgery to keep his eyelids open and a major dental as well .

But this 8 year old boy is pretty unfazed about his condition and made himself comfortable from day 1 itself in foster care .

Bob absolutely loves his humans and spends every moment of the day being around and close by them , loves getting chin scratches , belly rubs and giving head bonks.

Bob is the kind of cat who loves to snuggle in your lap , be it on a chair or on the couch and settle in for a nap with you in bed .

He’s also quite playful for his age and loves playing with his toys and chasing after the red laser dot . Bob also enjoys playing fetch, chasing after the toy you throw . He’s however yet to figure the “fetch” part of the play.

If you have a flair for fashion, then Bob is your muse . He absolutely loves parading around wearing caps and all kinds of hats.

This gorgeous boy will thrive in a safe , indoor environment with adults who are not away for more than 8-9 hours in a day and no other pets. He’s been vaccinated , desexed and dewormed as well .

Bob suffers from allergic skin disease. Certain food proteins and environmental allergies cause him to become very itchy and develop skin and ear infections. To prevent this he needs to be kept strictly indoors and on RC hypo diet. He might be prone to flare ups during certain seasons but these should be greatly reduced simply by staying indoors.

Before applying to meet one of our cats, please ensure that
- you have the agreement of all members of the household to adopt a Cat
- you have your landlords permission to keep a pet. More information on what to do is available at https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/housing/renting/applying-for-a-rental-property-or-room/pets-and-renting
- you have all the necessary bits and pieces to welcome your new family member, starting with a cat carrier to bring them home, a litter tray, litter, food and bowls as well as a bed, toys and scratchers
- you are ready to welcome them home NOW. We are unable to hold a cat for you if you are not ready to adopt.
