About Niven
Full of energy, outgoing and curious! Meet Niven!
A pup that loves to play with toys all day long in between her short naps. Niven loves her morning run around the oval with her sister, and will happily play on her own in the yard, note it will take a while to tire this pup out.
Happy to meet new fur friends, and people. She can be a little bit jumpy when she is excited and meeting new people. We have been teaching her to calm down and sit for a pat, but sometimes the puppy brain takes over when the excitement is too much.
Running laps around the oval she will always be no more than 1-2 metres from your side. Walking on lead is something she is learning, she prefers to jump and play with it for a few minutes and can be a slow start to the walk. Niven is learning basic manners whilst in care and will sleep in her crate overnight or for a nap. Travels well in the car and she will follow you around sticking by your side, not wanting to miss out on any of the action and is brilliant off lead.
As a working breed mix, Niven is highly intelligent with high energy levels. We are only looking for an active family that has proven experience in raising and developing a dog of this nature. You will need to show what experience you have, what you plan to do to meet her physical & mental stimulation needs and how you intend to socialise, train and develop her during Covid restrictions.
She must have a family committed to her on going training, health & happiness. We are looking for a home well versed in some form of dog sport and the benefits that will give a girl like this.
Friendly with other dogs, kids and people in general, Niven is a sweet, smart, outgoing & curious pup who will need a home with another similar size / energy dog at home for company and or someone home most days. She is not an average family dog that can be left out in the yard all day and must be allowed to sleep inside and be an integral part of her family.
We will only be accepting and responding to those applicants that meet this criteria and can articulate their experience and plans.
If you feel you can add a working breed mix into your family, you can apply by completing the adoption enquiry form on our Fetching Dogs website to register your interest.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
