About Chase
Meet Chase, a beautiful 2yo Kelpie x Dingo.
This young man is full of spunk and spark, and is looking for a home that can keep up with his energy and cheeky quirks.
Chase is a happy go lucky man, and is comfortable with doing his own thing, but will never say no to love, cuddles or pats. E.V.E.R.
Being a mix between 2 very active breeds, Chase would greatly benefit from getting out daily for a walk. Chase needs someone that can give him lots of time for exercise to burn some energy, and a backyard to play in with things to keep him stimulated.
Chase currently lives with another dog, as well as 2 cats. His doggo pal is like a big brother to Chase, and they play with each other often. They do respect each other's personal bubble, but will also cuddle up to each other for a nap, CUTE!
With the cats, he is happy to give them a sniff to say hello, but will respect their space if they run away or don’t want to play with him.
Being such an energetic boy, Chase would be better suited to a family with older children who understand the signs of a dog who is wanting to play, or wanting space.
Chase can get a little scared of children and babies, and will run away from them. If he is being chased/scared, he will growl out of fear but has never gone further than this.
It is a great thing that Chase is comfortable verbalising how he is feeling, which is why it is important that his family understand what he is trying to communicate.
Of a day when home alone, Chase spends his time outdoors lounging out and sleeping in the sun, or on top of his kennel. Yep, you read that right, on top of his kennel!
With Chase having Dingo in his veins, he does like to be up high, whether that be on chairs or on his kennel. It’s important to make sure that his yard is secure, to ensure this agility loving doggo is kept safe and confined.
When it's bed time, Chase sleeps enclosed in the garage with a soft blanket, and likes to head out for a bathroom break at least once a night.
Chase is happy to be indoors too, but being the cheeky boy he is, he likes to get into mischief if left alone to wander around. When inside and needing to go to the toilet, he will stand by the back door and look at you until you let him out.
Chase is looking for a single person, couple or family with older children that is active and happy to head out on daily walks. He needs plenty of yard space, love, attention, and walks/ big run around as often as possible.
Chase loves his humans and enjoys spending time with them whenever/wherever possible.
It is not essential that Chase has a buddy to play with, but if there is already a dog in the family and they get along well, he would love that! He can get a little jealous and tries to push his way in if he sees that he isn’t getting enough attention, so as long as you're good at multitasking the love, he can handle that.
Having Dingo in him, Chase can be a little wary of visitors, remaining wary and alert constantly when people outside his family are present. This is a natural trait of Dingoes and is important to remember this when considering adopting this beautiful young man.
It would be beneficial to do a little research if not already, about owning a Dingo/ Dingo x, before applying for Chase, to ensure he is the right fit for you.
Chase’s adoption is an assisted adoption via PetRescue's Home2Home program. You will be speaking with Chase’s owner when you enquire.
Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of adoption fee. Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
