About Scout ~ 5mo Doberman X Mastiff(On Trial 11/09/21)
Meet Scout, the cutest 5 month old in town. She’s the smartest Doberman X Mastiff with a heart of gold who loves to love.
Scout enjoys her walks and walks well on a lead. She thinks playing ball is a good fun although she’s still working out bringing it back. She looks adorable when she pounces on and chances the ball and makes her foster family laugh a lot.
Scout knows her name and comes when called. She sits beautifully, shakes hands and waits (although she’s a bit wiggly) for her dinner and doesn’t try to take her foster sisters food.
She’s a very fast learner. She sleeps curled up in her bed on the bedroom floor, she does love to be near her humans. She’s friendly to dogs and people on walks. She’s an all round pleasure.
Scout has a good bounce and will need 6ft colourbond fences to keep her safe and secure. Unfortunately, Scout will not suit rural fencing. She has been living with chickens that are in a large enclosure and doesn’t worry about them. Scout hasn’t had the opportunity to meet cats up close. They have bought her attention on walks, but I’m unsure how she would be up close.
Scout is toilet trained and well behave inside and she would need to be welcomed into your home when you are home. Scout needs a family who are active, she loves her walks. She would love another playful dog for company. She has loved playing with her foster brother and sister. Scout is quite gentle, I think she would be good with children, however we haven’t had the opportunity to test her, except for a few pats on walks.
As Scout is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 6 months old.
