Hello! My name is Magflooficent. I came into the shelter as a matted, underweight and scared stray and have spent the past few weeks in foster care getting some TLC. If you give me the time and patience I need, I will show you my beautiful and sweet nature. I was initially squirmy and skittish, but have grown more confident with dedicated, gentle daily handling and socialization, and will now happily sit in my foster carer's lap. I hope my new family will continue to do this so that I can get to know them just as well.

I do have a higher maintenance coat, and will need regular grooming to ensure that my fur does not get matted again (this was the reason for my questionable haircut!). I can be a bit fussy with food (I surprised my carer by being the first guinea pig she's met that didn't like carrot!), but I do enjoy bok choy (my fav!), cos lettuce, kale leaves, capsicum, apple and parsley.

I will need a suitable indoor enclosure (recommend a C&C style enclosure) as guinea pigs are particularly sensitive to the heat and cold and albino guinea pigs are more likely to get sunburnt. I would prefer to have a female guinea pig friend (or a desexed male), as guinea pigs are social and tend to be happiest with other piggies. For a pair of guinea pigs, the RSPCA knowledgebase recommends a minimum enclosure size of 2m x 0.5m x 25cm high and ideally have access to a safe, secure larger area where we can run and exercise.
