Allegra is the most confident of the tabby kitties that came into our care recently, which is a credit to her resilience.

Allegra and her lookalike sisters spent most of their young lives living it rough and were completely overwhelmed when they were introduced to their foster house - never having seen a TV or a comfortable bed. The foster carer’s dog was not received well, but the regular food sure was.

Allegra was the first of the three sisters to venture out of the kitten room, as she has a very inquisitive nature.

Allegra will headbutt you to get your attention, and she likes to weave herself around your feet, so you need to be steady on your feet.

Allegra is pretty cheeky and she enjoys playing. The laser light is her favourite. She does like hidey holes and is happy to spend the afternoon catching up on her beauty sleep.

Affectionate, cuddly and with a huge purr, Allegra would suit a family with older children. She would also be fine in a home that has other pets although she would require careful and slow introductions to a small, cat-friendly dog if you have one.

Patience will be necessary with Allegra until she finds her niche. Life has been a challenge so far, however Allegra will shine in her new home with the right people.
