Bates is a big teddy, that loves to play shadow and needs a home with an authoritarian figure.

Bates is a big boof head with a smushy smile who needs a home with either dog experienced people or people willing to deliver tough love. He is not a problem boy, but can test the boundaries so his new family need to be adept at reinforcing said boundaries.

He gets on well with other dogs, depending on personality.

Bates is an anxious boy who needs a relatively quiet home life with parents to follow around and cuddle, because of his anxiety he is a child free home type of dog.

He would not suit apartment style living considering his size; and requires a well secured premises as he’s been known to try to play Houdini (digging under gates).

Bates is house trained and knows basic commands, though he does require some additional lead training – with regular walks and consistent commands doing the trick.

This pup is pretty chilled out and doesn’t ask for much except company, affection and a daily walk. He can be cheeky and playful, but is a couch potato by definition.
