About Franklin
Franklin was found wandering and eating garbage on the street. He was super skinny and sad. He was wearing a chain around his neck that caused some injury. He was not loved at all.
We took him into our care while wondering whether his owner would come forward. Franklin was not claimed by his owner. He only weighed 20.4kg and was ravenously hungry all the time.
We have had Franklin for a little more than 8 weeks - and you can see the difference in him. Good food, some love and compassion makes a huge difference! He is like a completely different dog!
He is only 2 years old and has gone through things a dog should never be exposed to.
We gave him a second chance of life - will you?
Franklin has grown into a solid bundle of muscle. He has energy to burn. He will require a firm but kind family - to show him love but still maintain boundaries. He is a keen student when snacks & treats are involved, and now he can sit (for a short time), shake hands and walk on a leash. When he is excited, he sometimes forgets that the lead is on and will pull, but this comes with practice.
He tolerates other dogs but would prefer to be the sole focus of attention. He likes to cuddle and he talks a little (groans and moans). He has spunk, oodles of personality and just looks the biz!!! You can see from our photos - we have many happy Franklin faces :)
Franklin deserves to have a wonderful life - who can give him that?
