About Abraham ~ 17mo Neo Mastiff X(On Trial 4/09/21)
This gorgeous boy is Abraham, a 17 month old Neo Mastiff cross. He loves nothing more than to be around people, to lean against your leg and have his ears scratched. He is very affectionate!
He also loves to play tug a war with his rope or going for a big walk on the beach. He is very good off lead and returns immediately when called. He tries to make friends with every other dog he meets.
At 45kgs, Abraham is very strong but he walks very well on a lead, staying by your side and rarely pulling. He can get excited meeting new people but calms quickly. Abraham has learnt to sit, to take a treat from your hand gently and is house trained. He is always keen to go in the car and jumps up unassisted into it. He sleeps wherever he is allowed, either outside in a kennel or inside on a mat.
Abraham’s forever home will need to have an active lifestyle as he needs exercise daily. He is learning to play with enrichment toys, other than a rope, especially when there are treats inside the toy!
Abraham would benefit from a family where there is someone home most of the time and have another dog to play with. He also needs to be welcome inside when the family is home and involved in activities. As Abraham is such a big dog and is unaware of his size, he would be better with older children/teenagers or a family that are used to big animals. He also needs a a well fenced yard.
For more information or to meet Abraham, please contact his foster carer by email pp caralee67@bigpond.com. Abraham is in foster care in Floraville, NSW.
