About Jaz
*In foster care in Newtown, Sydney*
Jaz is a pure sweetheart, top to toe! Chock-full of love, she wants nothing more than to be adored and cherished by her amazing new family. Could that be you?
This sweet young girl can't wait to live her best life, going on long walks around the neighbourhood every day and maybe even having a doggy pal to play with! And you'll always know exactly how she's feeling - wagging not just her tail but her whole body with happiness when she sees you!
Like all Maggie's pets, Jaz is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'll definitely thrive in a home where my family has lots of time to spend with me. Because I crave a sense of security and companionship, I'm incredibly affectionate with my favourite humans (especially during couch cuddles!) and don't enjoy being left on my own. I'm quite active, so a backyard of a decent size would also be awesome!
An experienced dog owner will probably be best for me - someone with the patience to help me overcome my unhelpful habits. I occasionally bark at unfamiliar noises or knocks on the door, and visitors who come inside can make me nervous. (Unfortunately due to lockdown I haven't had the opportunity to socialise with many people outside my foster home yet!) However, I'm gradually becoming more comfortable when I meet new people, and with continued patience and guidance I'm sure my trust will continue to grow.
I used to feel quite worried around other dogs but I totally adore them now - to the point where I'd love a doggy sibling at my forever home!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Pretty high - standard for a dog my age! Right now I'm being taken out on two walks a day, and have lots of challenging toys to wrestle with, including Kongs. (I might need more of them though, as I'm going through my teething stage and love to chew on anything and everything!) It would be a dream come true to be part of a household where I'm included in activities and family adventures, and welcomed onto the sofa of an evening for a cuddle and a snooze.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: A home without young children would be best for me at this stage, though this might change as my confidence develops.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. While out on walks, I totally love engaging with dogs of all shapes and sizes and would love to be homed with one to suit my energy!

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/80677377750872. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
