Neville - Located in St Kilda East

If you’re looking for a cat that is a cross between a black panther and Toothless from “How to Train Your Dragon” then look no further! My name is Neville and I’m energetic, fast and agile like a black panther. I am also protective and seek an understanding companion like Toothless.

I’m highly energetic and would love my companion to play with me so that I can spent all that extra energy. If I have too much energy left over, I can get a little feisty. My temporary foster mum had started training me to go for walks. Once I know the intention, I will happily let you put the harness and leash on while I wait sitting by the door. So far, we have only walked up and down the corridor 15 feet from home, but with a little more practise I might be able to go for proper walks! The best way to motivate me on the walks are squeezy tube treats and a wand toy.

I will most certainly enjoy your company and will often brush against you to show my affection and invite pats/ brushing, but just like any adolescent, I can sometimes change my mind quickly and become defensive. I need someone who is understanding and can read my body language to know when to stop. At the start, using a brush to pat and stroke me is a good way to get to know my temperament. I am currently still wary of being picked up or having my paws/ toe beans touched, but with time and trust, I might allow it.

I am a boy of fine taste, I enjoy eating my meals with your company and added little pieces of cooked chicken in my meal makes it even more inviting. I’m curious and love looking out the window. Even when the blinds are down, I’ll find a way to get in between the gaps. I am a cheeky little boy with amazing flexibility and I will keep you entertained for years with my tricks and funny positioning.

I like long naps on the couch followed by some vigorous play, I have killed Da bird and lastly the purrfect night is capped off by some snuggles and more sleep.

Neville is a sweet boy who is happy doing his own thing, once he knows you are ok. He likes to help with the washing and other household chores, but will also happily nap in a nice warm spot. I like other cats but sometimes they think I'm too bossy.

- you are ready to welcome them home NOW.
We are unable to hold a cat for you if you are not ready to adopt.
