About Shelby
YOU can change the world, this weekend!
By offering to foster this sweet girl, you can be a true saviour. And in return you get the love of a wonderful pooch.
What could be better?
Beautiful Shelby urgently needs a place of her own ❤️
Ideally we would love to find her a family who can foster her with a view to adopting her permanently. But a short term foster option would be wonderful too.
Sweet Shelby is a gentle, affectionate girl who loves a cuddle on the couch and enjoys her creature comforts (as you can see!)
She likes to be close by to her people all the time and would rather have someone at home more often than not - a few hours alone is okay but being on her own all day every day isn't her cup of tea.
Shelby was previously living with an older person who sadly was unable to care for her any longer. She didn't get out of the house much and didn't meet a lot of new people.
So Shelby's dream home is one with a family who can be as kind and gentle as she is. Someone who can take things slow and help her feel safe and loved.
She would best suit a more mature household with teens or adults as she hasn't lived with young kids before.
We are unsure if she has lived with other animals before. Ideally she would be the only pet in the home, though a friendly and social male dog may help her to adapt so if you have a friendly dog that could be an option.
Please message the page or email avonvalley@safe.org.au and tell us about yourself if you think you can be the one to turn Shelby's life around.
We need to place her somewhere as soon as possible!
Please share widely. ❤️🐶
*Shelby is 2 years old and is a blue heeler x.
Fostering is FREE!
If you choose to adopt, the adoption fee is $450 and includes desexing, microchip and vaccination.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please email us at avonvalley@safe.org.au. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
