For Foster or Adoption
Known as Harri, this sweet kelpie cross (maybe with border collie) is looking for a loving home with a family who is willing to invest time and energy in ongoing training. And who is excellent at patting. That’s non-negotiable because this girl loves affection.
Harri is a perfect housemate - she is house trained, well mannered and will go to her mat when told to. If you let her cuddle on the couch with you, she’ll be there in a flash. A large backyard would be ideal for Harri, especially if it is accompanied by someone with a good throwing arm. Chasing balls is pure bliss for Harri.
While she is fine with dogs she knows, Harri is not great with all dogs. This is where she needs a lot of training and help. Harri pulls on the lead. She has nil recall and must not be let off leash. She needs help socialising (who doesn’t?) but has shown little interest in dogs she knows and too much in dogs she doesn’t.
A home without other pets or with a large, relaxed dog would be ideal. She’s not suitable for a home with cats, small dogs or pocket pets.
If you’re interested in Harri, first check your pocket for tennis balls. If you’ve got some, get in touch. She’d love to hear from you.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
