About Margot
Margot is a pocket-rocket, a petit blonde bombshell. Her foster carers thinks she looks like a cheeky smiling crocodile. She’s quite frisky, will have little jumpy-jumps at meal or walk times. When you get up out of bed, she’ll come at you with her cold wet nose like a torpedo straight into your bum crack or crotch. It cracks them up every time, especially if they’ve just got out of bed and still a bit groggy. Margot will then clamber all over your feet with her tapping toes.
Margot loves her two walks with foster brother Andy. Lots of exploring, sniffing and saying hello to her neighbours. Margot does need to be reminded to keep moving on her walks - too many distractions. The world is too interesting.
Margot Loves her foster brother and she is definitely the boss in the relationship. He is very patient with her eagerness to play. She is much more active and will likely benefit being adopted into a home with another suitable medium to large dog. We hope that pup can be Addy too.
You can entertain Margot with toys. She loves her squeaky toys and will play fetch but may forget the game and take the toy back to her bed as a souvenir.
Margot loves her adventures in the car too. She is nearly there jumping in by herself but may need just the tiniest bit of help lifting her little butt in. She may be reluctant to get out of the car if she’s had a lovely trip. Cars are very cosy.
Margot is a young little firecracker who will delight a busy family and do well with another hound to keep her company. She would be best suited to a home with a yard.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
During the COVID crisis, not all of our rescued Greyhounds will have the usual socialisation with other dogs so we may advise to use a muzzle in some situations until the dog is fully socialised.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
