About Addy
Addy is an independent boy. Strikingly handsome with his sleek black coat with white chest and paws. He loves his two daily walks but will settle and snooze the day away otherwise.
Addy is happy and chilled on his walks, not too bothered by traffic or loud noises. He is still getting used to seeing strange dogs on his walks but happy to walk on.
Addy is a chilled reliable friend. He loves to spend time with you but happy with his own company too. He loves his cuddles and you can groom his as much as you like. He loves it. Don’t forget the tummy rubs too.
Addy is happy to play with his foster sister Margot but she is the one who starts the game. Addy is the cool dude at home, happy for you to do your thing whether that’s a bit or housework or working from home.
Addy is only just learning about toys but does like to souvenir a slipper to take to his bed as a treasure.
Addy and Margot are a good pair and are available to be adopted together. He the calm and chilled one and she is more energetic but she craves his company.
No cat or small dog applications please.
No children under six.
No full time workers unless working from home or there is another dog
We only consider applications who compete our Gumtree Greys online application.
When this is done we can make contact to discuss adopting a greyhound and potential suitable greys currently in foster care.
Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
During the COVID crisis, not all of our rescued Greyhounds will have the usual socialisation with other dogs so we may advise to use a muzzle in some situations until the dog is fully socialised.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
