About Amalfi
Amalfi is a sweet older girl just looking for a quiet home and a comfy sofa to spend her days.
Coming from a rural area originally, she is still quite unsure of all the noise and bustling of the big city and new environments, especially busy ones, do scare her a little. She's a shy girl by nature and can be uncomfortable meeting new people and dogs, especially if they are loud, boisterous or in her face. Once comfortable, she's sweet and affectionate.
Amalfi is great with car travel and will usually lay down and relax. She sleeps well at night at the end of the carers bed and does equally as well in her own bed or crate too.
Low energy needs means just a short daily walk but she's just as happy having a nice area to sniff around and explore. She's good on leash and her recall is ok. She's met other dogs and is ok in their company but prefers to keep to herself.
Her one true love is a comfy lounge or bed to rest and relax in. She enjoys pat, belly rubs and cuddles too. Amalfi really is just an easy girl to look after, she doesn't want for much, just a quiet home that will love her.
Kids generally scare her, so no kids in her new home. You can have another dog, but it needs to be a quiet dog that won't push her to interact, and she's perfectly happy being an only dog, is ok to be left alone at home some days and currently lives in a unit and copes really well.
Amalfi needs more of a retirement home, she'd suit an older couple that likes to potter around the home or garden, can offer a nice comfy spot on the lounge for that all important nap, some belly rubs and a short walk in a quiet area. She is not suited to living in any inner city or busy areas.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
