Frida arrived into our care with her sister when they were 5 weeks of age. They were both unwell and underweight, and were dropped off at a local veterinary clinic for euthanasia. Luckily the clinic contacted us and the girls were transferred into our care.
Frida is a very loving and sweet natured girl who is looking for her perfect home that will include her as part of their family. She is very cat friendly and her new home must have another young and friendly cat to be her companion. She gets along with gentle dogs, and would also suit a home with older children as she loves to snuggle. Frida is a good girl, she doesn't get up to much kitten mischief, and she's straight off to bed with you the minute her humans turn out the lights.
Frida has had vaccine reactions to her kitten flu vaccinations. She becomes painful after the vaccine (like some humans do) and requires some anti inflammatories for a couple of days to settle her muscle pain and mild fever. Her medical history will be provided to her new vet before any future vaccinations.
Please get in touch if you would like to know more about little Frida, or to arrange a meet and greet. 🐾
Adoption details
If you would like to know more information about any of our rescue animals, our rescue group, or to arrange a meet and greet, please email us. Please provide us with your name, email address, contact number, and some information about yourself, and the home you have to offer one of our rescue animals.
About us:
Gary and the Handicats Rescue is run soley by a Vet Nurse who works shift work and also cares for sick and high needs rescue animals. We strive to get back to you within 24 hours, but during busy kitten seasons there may be a delay. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Please note we do not run on a "first in first served" basis. We screen applicants well before proceeding with adoption. Vet and rental references may be required for certain special needs adoptions.
We receive a large amount of interest in our handraised kittens, and certain special needs animals. Please understand that if your application isn't successful, this may just be due to the amount of applications we have had for that particular animal, and not because of the home you have to offer. Preference is always given to our past adopters.
Meet and Greets:
• Meet and greets are held in an environment where the particular cat or kitten feels most comfortable.
• Please do not bring your own animals to a meet and greet.
• We do not allow any of our animals to be taken home on the day of the meet and greet. Special circumstances may be considered.
Picking up you're new family member:
• You MUST bring a safe, secure, and size appropriate carrier for your baby to travel home in. We do not have carriers to provide new adopters, and we will not send home one of our rescue animals in a cardboard box or a washing basket. If a carrier isn't able to be provided, your adoption will be cancelled.
