What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• To be allowed inside with my family
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• I am very people orientated however am not fond of being picked up
• An active family who PROMISE to spend a lot of time teaching me doggie manners is a MUST. I want to grow up to be a well mannered dog and I need my new family to ensure that happens.
• No young children as when I'm excited I get very bouncy and mouthy, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
• Being a social and playful pupper I would love to go to doggy daycare
• NO Cats, rabbits/guinea pigs or chickens as I will probably chase them
• I like both friendly male and female dogs however I can be full on in play, so another dog with the same energy as me is a must.
• SOCIALISATION is as important as training a puppy. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman etc) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will ensure I grow into a social and well adjusted dog.
• TRAINING TRAINING TRAINING. It's ESSENTIAL I receive training in all aspects of my life so I can be the best dog I can be when I'm older.
Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being mouthy & bouncy
• NO CATS, NO POCKET PETS AND NO POULTRY - I find them way too exciting and will bark at and chase them
My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• I can sit on command
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• Happy to hang out with other dogs
• Social butterfly
• I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks.
• Full of beans
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I will require full basic training as I've had no training experience yet (except for sit)
• I can be strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this
• I love my food so using that as a positive reward should make my training easier.
• I appear to be quiet vocal at times when left alone - a family who has a lot of time for me, allow me indoors and leave me with lots of mental enrichment when home alone is recommended. Even better is having a doggie friend I can spend time with when my family isn't home.
