About Mysty
Mysty is an 12-month-old American Staffy cross who just loves everyone she meets, especially her people.
She came to us from Broken Hill and has been with her foster family for a month which include 2 women and 3 men. Mysty has settled quickly to city life coming to terms with all the people and new sounds, sights and smells. She loves her walks and has vastly improved on the lead. She can get excited to meet other humans and can jump up. This is never aggressive, she just wants to say hello, but due to her size and strength she may be better suited for family who have children over the age of 10 years old.
Mysty enjoys her toys particularly tug-a-war and catching balls. She loves all humans, especially her foster humans, and is happiest when she’s with you, whether that’s outside in the garden while you both enjoy the sun or inside while you work. She’d like her humans to be around more often than not.
Mysty is being trained with some basic sit, stay, drop, come commands and they are all going well. She knows them, but she is smart enough to know how to get what she wants, so she would benefit from some further training. Whilst her favourite place is by your side or getting cuddles, she is learning boundaries and she will go to her bed when needed.
Mysty is a loving and playful dog, however as she is in foster care she has not been allowed to play with other dogs off lead. She has never shown any aggression to any of the dogs that she has met on her walks, she just wants to say hello and if possible, have a play with them.
She has not been tested with cats. She has shown interest in them on her walks but we do not know how she would be with a resident cat.
Mysty would love a family who is home more often than not, daily walks, some play time and then to chill out in her bed or in the sun. Although not essential, Mysty may benefit from having a doggie friend at home and would love older children or adults that she could play and run with.
She is a loving, sweet girl with a beautiful temperament and will make a wonderful addition to a family, or a loyal companion to someone who can love her just as much as we know she will love and adore them.
