About Maestro
Meet Maestro!
Maestro is a gentle old soul who’d love nothing more than a forever person or family who will let him curl up on their knees so he can enjoy endless pats. He’s quite the sweetheart and will have anyone who meets him wrapped around his paw in no time.
He loves to be loved and thrives in an environment where he is the centre of attention. Maestro also enjoys being brushed and will purr up a storm during a grooming session - after all, while he's being groomed, all focus is on him!
Like all cats, Maestro comes with a couple of personality quirks… This sweet man clearly spent too many meal times by himself before coming into care, so his preference now is to not eat alone. He likes someone to sit near him and give him a couple of pats as he eats his meals. He prefers to eat several small meals a day rather than just a large breakfast and dinner. He also likes variety when it comes to his food options.
Maestro's other quirk is that he doesn’t really meow. He makes more of a chirping noise and will greet you with “hey, what’s up?” chirp and a nod of the head each morning. It's a particularly endearing trait!
Maestro is now well-past the stage of causing chaos, doing zoomies around the house or swinging from chandeliers. His preference is to follow his people around at a leisurely pace or snooze the day away in a sunny spot. He’s still figuring out the concept of cat beds and currently prefers to sleep on soft blankets in his favourite spots.
He travels beautifully in his travel crate in the car and behaves himself at the vets. He is well loved by the nurses at his current vet practice and will easily win over a new vet team when it's time for his next vaccination and annual health check.
Maestro is still deciding if the resident dog is friend or foe. If his new home has a resident canine, then it would need to be one that was respectful of Maestro's space and didn't harass or chase him. The same goes with any other feline family members - he is ok sharing his space with them, but does not want to be pestered by them getting up into his personal space.
Maestro is fully litter trained, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and parasite treated. He is ready and waiting for his forever home.
If you're happy to welcome an older boy, perform the duties of a committed and faithful servant, provide company at meal times, meet insistent demands for pats and make your lap available as often as possible, then you're definitely just who Maestro is looking for, so please get in touch.
Maestro is located in Cragieburn, VIC and is available for adoption anywhere in the greater Melbourne region.
Medical notes
Maestro has had surgery to correct a hernia and remove his spleen. His specialists don’t foresee any further complications.
Adoption details
Hear No Evil's Adoption process:
1st Step * You contact us to obtain an adoption application, and discuss the dog of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability.
2nd Step * A Meet and Greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and and current dogs is arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a Yard check to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - We understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
3rd Step *Payment of the Adoption fee in full. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records.
Transport arrangements are the financial responsibility of the Adopting party. Hear No Evil are happy to assist with departure preparations and ensuring the dog makes its transport connection.
Final step * Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted, and the adoption is officially finalised.
