Roxy is an absolute angel of a girl, who melts the hearts of everyone she meets. She’s a true gentle giant, a big 45 kg girl, but a big softy who has the sweetest nature. Her favourite thing is cuddles, lots of cuddles! She has an endless amount of love to give and loves to be by your side, like the perfect companion she is! She truly is a special girl who will make you feel so lucky.
Roxy hasn’t been formally assessed yet and we are not sure she is fond of all dogs, so she will need to go to a home where there aren’t any, will need to be kept safe from them, and will need further training with this. Roxy also experiences separation anxiety, and will very softly howl when left alone. She will need to go to a home where she is not left alone for long hours and where her new owners are willing to work on her training to help with this.
Some other points:
- loves her daily walk, playing ball, and running around in the yard! But is calm as a cucumber indoors, she understands there’s a time and a place!
- an extremely easy-going girl indoors, is really well behaved and follows all simple commands, sleeps in her bed completely through the night, and is perfectly housetrained.
- is a true girl’s girl however and will take a week or two to warm up to a man, but once she figures out she can trust them, she will adore them too!
- will need a home with a decent backyard to sniff, explore and play ball.
-will need to be able to have lots of cuddles.
- travels extremely well in the car.
-doesn’t mind being bathed.
- walks okay on lead (will need a little bit of training while she gets used to cars etc). Basically, she’s the perfect girl all over apart from the things mentioned above which can be improved with some training.
You’ll absolutely adore her!

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
