About Beau (BoBo)
This adorable boy is Beau (or BoBo)....he's our Blue/Fawn Frenchie, just over 2 years old and quite the little charmer! BoBo is in care with 3 other dogs (ranging in size from Jack Russell to Great Dane), chickens, horses and 2 cats. Whilst he is submissive to the cats in his foster home (they rule the entire farm!), and gets along generally well with the other dogs, he has an absolute OBSESSION with toys and will NOT under any circumstance, share those with his furry friends! He has also shown some food aggression with the other dogs at meal times, so we are ideally looking for a home where he can be the centre of your world and an only dog (with doggie playdates of course). Kids over the age of 12 years also recommended.
BoBo is quite content to spend time outside with his doggie friends and loves to soak up the sunshine, but would much prefer to be your little shadow and lay as close to you as possible (he has no idea of personal space lol). His carers are currently going through the process of toilet training and this will need to be continued in his new home. He is however, fully crate trained and will wait until he's let out in the morning to do his business.
He certainly has quite a big personality....weighing in at almost 12kg, BoBo can hold his own when playing with the 'big' dogs and described as a 'human dog' by his foster mum. He has learnt to 'sit' and 'stay' and has amazing recall.
As with most Frenchies, everything he finds in his path is given the chew test, so plenty of chew toys and tasty bones will need to be on hand. Whilst BoBo enjoys spending time outside, the French Bulldog breed are primarily inside dogs.
Despite their glum expression, the French Bulldog is comical and entertaining. They are quite stubborn and can be challenging to train, yet also surprisingly sensitive, remembers what they learn, and responds well to early, patient, persistent training that utilizes food motivation.
Snorting, snuffling, and flatulence go with the territory of short-faced breeds. We recommend doing your research on the breed before choosing to own one, as they do come with a range of health issues and require certain needs.
We are looking for a family or person who is willing to put in the time and effort with training and socialisation for BoBo and also someone who understands the needs and health issues of the French Bulldog. He will need continued socialisation with other dogs, as well as ongoing training so that he continues to be a well mannered and socialised boy. Frenchies love the company of their humans, so someone who works from home would be perfect for this gorgeous boy.
BoBo has had Soft palate corrective surgery done and Stenotic nares corrected. He has had a spinal X-ray which showed 1 Hemivertebrae....this is very common in the breed and not a need for concern. In saying that, there are many other factors that may contribute to health issues down the track, so please do your homework and be sure that you can provide him with the home and lifestyle he requires to stay healthy.
Due to the current situation with COVID in NSW, we are looking for a home within the Hunter region or Central Coast only. BoBo is currently located in Laguna NSW.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
