About Bonnie(On Trial)
Bonnie is a sweet tempered sable sheltie who gets on well with other dogs, especially other smalls, but is willing to stand up for herself when necessary. She is a quiet dog, affectionate dog who loves human companionship. She would suit a home looking for a small dog, with moderate exercise requirements. Bonnie can be a little shy at first so probably wouldn't suit a home with very young children. The shetland sheepdog is an outstanding companion dog and is intensely loyal. It is lively, intelligent, trainable, and willing to please and obey. Shelties are loving, loyal, and affectionate with their family, but are naturally aloof with strangers. The average sheltie is an excellent watch dog, giving alarm barks when a person is at the door, or a car is in the driveway. Shelties usually love to play. They do best with a sensitive, attentive owner. The sheltie is, above all, a herder and likes to be kept busy, although their activity level usually coincides with their owner's level. Shelties also are very smart, making them highly trainable. If you are interested in bonnie and are not familiar with the breed, we encourage you to do some research first to ensure that the sheltie is a breed suitable for your home.
