Darryl - Can Transport to you!

This little munchkin is Darryl, named after the Maryborough CFA fire brigade captain Darryl Wagstaff.
Darryl somehow ended up stuck down a drain in central Maryborough. The shopkeepers and customers could hear his cries for help but due to the deep drain weren't able to get him out. One of the local council rangers tried but little Darryl was not hanging around to be caught and ran away. We were contacted by the shopkeepers on March 31st to see if we could help and, not really knowing how to approach the situation, called Maryborough's fire captain to see if he could come up with a plan to help the little kitty. It was decided to try and trap the little one. A cat trap was carefully lowered down into the drain and we all crossed our fingers that the little kitten would be rescued. Of course the best laid plans don't always work and little Darryl was happily sitting inside the trap without it having activated... he had of course scoffed down all the food, and so the trap was set again. Another day and the same thing , little Darryl was in the trap but it failed to activate. So we changed traps to a smaller one which was more sensitive and third time lucky Darryl was in the trap.This was on April 2nd. He has spent at least 5 days down the drain. Everyone in town was so relieved we were able to save this little one , who did turn out to be a boy. We had promised Darryl the fire captain that if we managed to rescue the kitty and they were a boy we would name him Darryl as a thank you for his help in helping us rescue this little kitten who somehow found himself down a drain.

Darryl is now 5 months old
He is an independent little fella, likes to play
A bit timid with new people
Has been around other cats and dogs who are fine with cats
Loves his fluffy beds, zooming around the house and playing with his fuzzy mouse in a box !
Has not been around children so would say no young children
