Dexter (M/7 yrs) – Foster Care needed with the view to Adopt

This handsome 3 legged boy has found himself in the pound after being surrendered. He has been well looked after for a few months and is ready to find his new furever home.
Dexter is a very gentle, affectionate and distinguished man...but...has known for destroying toys as soon as he gets them, that's what toys are for right...??He absolutely loves tug-o-war and as is being common with our boxer dogs, is a water boy, enjoying the beach, pool and playing with the hose.
Dexter is known to be a bit of an escape artist, yes even with his 3 legs. He will sometimes dig his way out, but generally this is when he is home alone for the duration of the day, he would therefore suit someone being home with him for most of the day. Although Dexter is young at heart active strolls rather than long walks are what he needs.
Dexter has grown up around kids, 6 of them! So he is well versed in the different ages and happily plays along with the kids when they are outside playing.
Dexter has been introduced to cats and is good around them. Unfortunately, he plays a little too roughly with chickens so we would definitely suggest a home without livestock.
He has generally been good with other dogs whilst on walks, although recently in his pound environment has not been doing well with other dogs and has been reacting. Whether this is because of the environment he is in, nervousness and the changes he has been through we are not sure. Possibly a calmer, similar aged and energy level female or an only dog home is the way to go with Dexter.
