Please read this profile in full before applying for Professor Jack.
Jack is a gorgeous Maltese x boy who is affectionate and loving with his family members. He is dog social - he is in foster care with a few small dogs and he loves meeting new dogs. He is very cheeky, vocal, energetic and loves his toys. His favourite games are fetch and tug of war and he will bark at you and growl when playing tug.
Jack would love a home with experienced dog owners who understand he needs exercise and boundaries to be his happiest self. Please read on for more detail.

Medical notes
Jack is predisposed to itchy feet (and skin) and ear infections which he has had repeatedly throughout his life prior to coming into foster care. He chews on his paws and scratches his ears at times. He is trialing a new fish-based diet as part of an elimination diet to see if meat proteins are causing this itchy skin and ear infections. He should be kept on a premium quality diet with no cheap, processed canned foods once adopted.
His new family will need to commit to ongoing vet care to keep him in good health in his senior years. This includes regular dentals and skin checks for lumps and bumps.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal cheques.
