About Luna
Hi! I'm Luna and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR LUNA
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM
https://forms.gle/iZrjprySWRC8qNdy7
NOTE: You are unable to meet Luna until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Luna in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.
What I need in my new home:
• LARGE BREED EXPERIENCE IS A MUST
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• To be allowed inside with my family
• Although I did live with another dog, it does seem like I haven't had a lot of interaction with other dogs. I can be very overtop with my play and if you have another dog they will need to be ok with this. I can be a bit growly when first meeting so I must go to a family that promise to spend time socialising me with other dogs in a controlled environment.
• I seemed a bit scared of cats but once I'm confident I may be too much for a cat regarding my size and playful nature
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• No young children as when I'm excited I get very bouncy and mouthy, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
• SOCIALISATION is as important as training a dog. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman etc) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will ensure I become a social and well adjusted dog.
• TRAINING TRAINING TRAINING. It appears I've had no basic training so it's ESSENTIAL I receive training in all aspects of my life so I can be the best dog I can be when I'm older.
Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being mouthy & bouncy
• NO POCKET PETS AND NO POULTRY - I find them way too exciting and will bark at and chase them
My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• Love to snooze on the couch
• Exuberant & full of beans
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I will require full basic training as I've had no training experience yet
• I seem to have no experience walking on a lead and although I don't pull strongly, I am very erratic. I will walk between your legs and go around in circles. Lots of walking and training should help me learn to walk nicely.
