About Rusty 💎 ❤️
This handsome young man already has quite a story. He was found on the streets and was taken to a pound. The pound contacted us to ask if we would take on a pregnant mum. Only recently did we find out Rose was actually Rusty! He has spend the last couple of months being pampered like a pregnant puss. He was on a pregnant mum diet so he does now have a rugby ball that needs turning into a tennis ball. 😂 (This will happen quickly now that he is on the right food!)
Other than the recent weight issue, he has a clean bill of health. He came to us as a feral street cat and that will need to be kept in mind with his new family. He was terrified when he arrived and spent the first week keeping to himself. Over the months we have started to see a different cat. He is feeling much more at home and starting to trust his human companions. He now accepts pats that get his purr motor going and my goodness does it get going! He is also trusting enough to unleash his inner kitten and loves a play.
Rusty’s new family will need to be understanding of his past and happy to keep working with him to bring out the snuggle bunny he wants to be. He is a ginger floof after all and they love nothing more than demanding cuddles and flopping with their owners, it is in his ginger DNA!
It will take patience and perseverance but you will have a lovely boy on your hands after that. Just watching him grow and blossom over the last couple of months has been amazing.
This handsome devil will hypnotise you with his eye, while you get lost in his mane. Warning! he is a time waister! Just such a beautiful young boy, full of energy and love. He will thrive in a calm, quite home with no other animals. He might be good with another cat but it would have to be a very slow introduction and with an experienced owner.
If you are looking for one of the most rewarding lockdown challenges, take on this little man and see how far he comes by the time you are heading back into the office. You will be amazed. You will also have a very beautiful extra fluffy family member.
Rusty is litter box trained and has had all his vet work done. He is ready to go to his forever home now! If you live on the Northern beaches or within 5km of Dee Why, we look forward to hearing from you.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
