About Roy ~ 5yr Old Cattle Dog X
Hi, I'm Roy, a 5 year old, sun baking, couch surfing chilled out Cattle X Mastiff.
I love nothing more than lounging around the house and being close to (or laying on) my humans.
Sometimes, I even think I am a human and will sit on human furniture. I will happily sleep under the covers with you if you let me.
I am very easily trainable but I just need someone to put a little time and effort into my training to help me be the best doggo possible. I struggle on the lead as I get excited and overwhelmed by smelling. I'm a strong young dog, so until I know better, I may need a stronger person to walk me.
I love driving around in the car. I am really respectful and very relaxed. I love sticking my head out of the window. I can sit, shake and generally a gentle giant.
Since coming into foster care, my foster parents have been working from home and I just LOVE having them around all the time.
I love to follow them everywhere and see what they are up to. I have been very respectful of my foster home and I am very polite when my foster parents are making and eating dinner.
I love living in a quiet and calm household - so I would prefer to be your only pet and to only live with older children/teens or just with adults, but I get on well with my current foster brother Gus who is a Kelpie. We need a fully fenced yard, and I don't show many signs of wanting to escape, but I do bark at other dogs passing by if I am near the front fence.
If you think Roy could be the missing piece to your puzzle you can meet him below.
For more information or to meet Roy, please contact his foster carer on their email hugh@mcqualitycontrol.com Roy is in foster care in Waratah, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Roy's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
