About Baxter
Baxter is just the happiest boy around, loves his family, play time, runs and the biggest cuddles and kisses going around. This boy is just craving to be loved and has so much to give back.
He has high energy breeds in him so requires a bit more exercise than the average doggo. He would love someone who can take him with them on a run or walk 2 times a day.
Baxter’s ideal home would have a very large yard or on some property where he can run freely. He is still working on his separation anxiety so would prefer someone who works part-time or a couple with alternating times. He LOVES kids! Of all ages, so would love to be around them.
Baxter loves other dogs and is also fine with cats in the home, he would potentially love a sibling with similar energy that can keep up and chase around the yard with, who is dominant and able to show him the ways of the house. Although, he would also love to be the only pet at home and have all the attention to himself and shows much calmer nature when it’s just him and his humans.
He LOVES other dogs, but can get defensive if approached aggressively by another dog so will need nice introductions to any unknown dogs coming past on his walks, but usually gives a sniff and is happy to go along with you.
Mr Baxter will also be quite protective of his humans, he will show protective behaviours when an unknown woman gets close to his people, but once he gets to know them and is shown you trust them too he’ll love them right up with cuddles and tails wagging all round.
He walks great on lead now with reminders to sit before we cross the road, he is also crate trained for bed time, and knows his simple commands of sit, stay and lay down he’s very eager to learn and to please.
This boy is looking for a loving, active and patient family willing to continue showing him how to be loved and nurtured. If you think you would be the right family for him please enquiry below:
