About Shucker
Shucker is a 6 year old male brindle Staffy cross who is seeking his forever home.
He is very smart, partially crate and muzzle trained and walks well on a leash, assuming there are no dogs or cats in his view. Shucker is highly food motivated and will learn just about anything for a tasty treat or ten.
His separation anxiety is a work in progress, so his ideal home should have someone present at all times.
His new home will need to be cat/dog-free, as he fixates and will chase cats and is still learning to socialize well with other dogs. He can get boisterous when he plays and if children are part of the home, teenagers or up would be ideal.
Shucker will make the world’s greatest companion to someone looking for a sweet and cheeky cuddle buddy, or someone to go on walks with to explore the neighbourhood. He is fully house trained, sweet, full of personality and LOVES a belly rub at any time of day! He could benefit from a home that is eager to help him continue to overcome his social anxiety with dogs and seperation anxiety.
Medical notes
Shucker underwent surgery and extensive rehab for a luxating patella, but has now made a complete recovery and is happy, healthy and active! He also has a contact allergy that requires medication and regular bathing to manage.
