About TJ
Unfortunately JT's adoption fell thru so we have placed TJ back up for adoption
Hello my name is TJ, I am a 8 month old Mini Fox Terrier
I am very timid meeting new people and ask that anyone who meets me give me a chance – I make a lousy first impression with a few minutes of barking. My foster mum says if you just let me come to you on my own timetable then I do heaps better then be forced to meet people. We are working on it and my foster mum always reminds me that people are nice and they won’t hurt me. But my new family will need to be mindful of this and help me work on it
It will take me some time before I am ready to come up to you and give you some cuddles - but when I am settled and ready - watch out as I will become a cuddle bug – I do love a good lap cuddle, or if you’re working from home I would happily sit on your lap while you work.
I am very happy to stay at home - not a huge fan of crowds or parks or beaches - I am wanting a quiet life with my humans, I’m not the best in the car at the moment – I can get carsick.
I am good with the skin kids that live here - now I have my confidence I have worked out I can go from bed to bed for snuggles but I think it would be better to be with kids over 8 years of age as that way they can give me space when I'm nervous.
I am not good with cats – I do like to chase them
I love to play with toys and I am a early riser – the early bird gets the dog treats! I also love to play fetch – my foster mum says I have good manner (most of the time) and are super quick and smart
I am toilet trained however new places can make me nervous so I may have a few accidents if I go to a new home – if you can work with me and show me where I go I pick it up no problems in just a few days.
I do have one huge quirk my foster mum said I must tell you before you apply – I hate hate hate hate hate anyone touching my neck when I have a collar on – my foster mum did put a collar on me but said it was an experience and a half – I will try and nip you and tell you I don’t like you doing it – but once it’s on I’m fine – go figure!
I am currently in a home with two other foxies and I’m really good with them but my foster mum says I have small dog lap syndrome – I believe it should be me on your lap not any one else, my foster mum has also said that I am awesome around one of the dogs as she is submissive and genuinely will do what I say, but for this reason we are looking for TJ to be in a only dog home.
My ideal home would be with someone who is home more often then not so I can snuggle and do Netflix marathons with.
I would really like a home where I can settle, and be with someone who will love me and spoil me and leave me wanting for nothing.
** Please note applications will close Monday 6th September 2021 at 5.30pm

Medical notes
TJ is dog friendly but can be bossy and pick fights with other dogs that are dominant - TJ is happy to play with a submissive dog.
However we will be looking for a home for TJ that makes him an only dog home.
Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now

Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
