Medium Male Border Collie x Kelpie Mix Dog
I've been adopted!
Dip came to the RSPCA with a badly injured neck. He had been barking too much, so his owner put a shock collar on him in an effort to get him to stop. Unfortunately the collar was not fitted correctly or monitored, and caused terrible burns and wounds to Dip's neck. He was unable to wear a collar for the first two weeks at the Animal Care Centre.
Dip does bark. We believe it is out of boredom, as he is a very intelligent and active dog, so sitting in a pen all day drives him spare! He loves running in the paddock and playing with other dogs. He happily plays with toys and is a champion at playing 'keepings off'! He is learning how to figure out new 'Boredom Buster' toys, such as kongs, wobblers and treat puzzles.
Dip will need a family that wants to invest some time in his training. With the right guisance, he will make a good Personal Trainer or Site Supervisor, but his dream job would be CEO of a hobby farm!
