About Bowie ~ 4mo Wolfhound X (On Trial 4/10/21)
Tomorrow belongs to those who can hear it coming. Wise words from the late David Bowie. Like this great man, our sensational little guy Bowie has impeccable hearing and he can hear his forever home coming! Is it you? Bowie is a 4 month old Wolfhound X Rottweiler X Bull Arab Mix Breed puppy who has big dreams for what his tomorrows look like. This outgoing, handsome and very intelligent young man is ready to find his pawfect forever.
Bowie came into care with 5 other siblings and soon found his feet in his foster carers home. He is a bouncy, energetic, smart and sassy lad who loves to be with people once he gets to know you. He can be a little shy at first but he certainly makes up for it once he's comfortable! His soft toys are his favourite at the moment, especially the ones with the squeak. He has already learnt to walk on a lead with a little encouragement, sit, he knows his name and is learning to come to you when called.
Bowie is an intelligent young puppy and would be best suited to a family who can commit to furthering his training and spending quality time with him. He will require daily exercise to ensure his happy healthy way of life continues. He is currently walked twice a day for around 30minutes. Families with large breed experience will be highly preferable, and he would not suit families with children under the age of 6yrs. Bowie also must have another female doggy companion of similar size in his new home, he is highly dog social and is learning to be the best doggo he can with his current foster fur-family. Bowie needs a calm and friendly dog who will encourage him slowly into his new environment. Overly energetic dogs do tend to frighten him. Its very important that he receive the best start to his social life, with regular outings and meeting new people.
We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All puppies will need plenty of affection, exercise, and training to ensure proper boundaries and routines are established. This will ensure that you get the best family member/friend possible.
Bowie has been a very integral element of his foster family and has been enjoying love and cuddles inside with them. For this reason, he will not suit being an only outdoor dog, as he loves the creature comforts awarded to him. He will be a large boy and will need boundaries in place to ensure he is a healthy and well rounded member of your home. Bowie requires 6ft fencing with no gaps or holes to make sure his home environment is safe and secure. Rural properties may be considered however, tall fencing requirements must be upheld.
As Bowie is not yet desexed and due to Covid restrictions, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, and Port Stephens because he will need to be returned to a local vet for desexing when he is approximately 5 months old. Please NO out of area applications.
