About Gatsby
BASED IN HORSHAM RURAL VICTORIA
Gatsby our Chinchilla is ready to find that special home that will nurture him.
Please research the breed - Chinchilla cat.
Please note that Gatsby will require daily grooming.
If you don't want a talkative and high maintenance grooming cat please don't apply.
Unfortunately Gatsby can't tell us his story on how he found himself on the streets, fending for himself and getting his coat so matted he could barely move without being in pain.
Gatsby is estimated to be 2 years of age. He is still a little unsure of being picked up (he stiffens his body and panicks a bit, but does not strike out).
Gatsby will need a quiet home that is child free. He will need to be a total indoor cat as we do not want him ending up on the streets again. He is not very confident moving around open spaces so he will need to be contained in a small area of the house initially and then the remaining area of the house slowly openned up.
We know the amazing Chinchilla personality is in there he just needs to build his confidence again.
Gatsby has been vet checked, flea and worm treated, desexed, microchipped and had his first vaccination. His adoption fee is $350.00.
Please contact us to register interest in giving Gatsby a home.

Medical notes
Chinchilla cats need daily grooming or they ended up matted which impacts on their health and wellbeing.
Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
Please note we are a small group of volunteers that balances the administrative side with the care of the animals.
Please only apply for one of our animals if you are genuinely interested in them.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
