Iām an energetic, playful and affectionate boy with some puppy qualities, but I am toilet trained so thatās a bonus.
I am a failed cattle dog so the vacuum cleaner and brushes are things to round up and nip. After a little coaxing I am learning not to chase and bark at them. Same goes with the smoothie blender which I now just watch curiously.
Iām learning not to nip when I get excited. It doesnāt happen a lot anymore and it doesnāt hurt but may surprise you when it first happens.
Up 'til now the men in my life havenāt been nice to me. It takes me a while to warm up to new men but Iāve learned to love my foster Dad so much in just a couple of weeks. Iām not scared of new men, just a little cautious and growly until I can suss them out. I love being brushed, head massages and fetching the ball so if you do that with me I will learn to love you really quickly. I love my foster Mum a lot and I follow her around all the time.
Iām nine months old so still a big puppy. If Iām quiet for a while outside itās probably a good idea to check on me. Sometimes I like my own company, but mostly I get bored and will look for things to keep me busy. I tried to help out with the gardening and repotting the plants but I made a bit of a mess.
Maybe an older dog will help me to settle down and not miss you too much?
I much prefer to be inside with you. I love putting my head into your lap for a cuddle and if you get on the floor with me I will snuggle in head first.
I love playing fetch and doing zoomies so a big back yard would be great! I also love a good run and I will walk for hours too. I think I would love long walks on the beach with you chasing a ball in and out of the water but I havenāt had the chance to do that yet. Older children to rough house with would be fun.
Iām learning to say hello to new doggie friends. Sometimes Iām really good and quiet and other times I just get really excited and canāt wait to say hello. Iām walking with a haltie and Iāll need to for a while yet.
I would really like to go to dog classes and learn to be the best dog I can be. Iām smart and eager to please so I know it wonāt take me long to win all the prizes. I think Iād be pretty good at agility classes too and I reckon it will help with my really small attention span.
