Meet Hamilton, the most fluffy and demanding! He loves to intercept his foster carer demanding pats and food! Hamilton came to the RSPCA scared of people and it appeared he had probably not lived in a home before. When he first came into care, he was scared of being touched at all but he has come so far and now insists on pats, especially scratches on his big boofy head! He has also recently realized couches and beds are super comfortable and it has been very rewarding watching him decide on his favourite spots! Hamilton has made huge progress and is now a model house cat. He is very vocal, social, loves food and why haven't you fed him already?? He is not comfortable with being picked up but with the progress he has made in a short time, this will hopefully be something he becomes comfortable with in the future. It is easy to lure him to his carrier using food if he does need to travel. He will need patience and time to build trust with his new people, and lots of treats and taking things at his pace work wonders! Ham needs to be an indoor cat (cat run welcome) so that he doesn't frighten and become hard to catch. He likes hanging out with other cats and was friendly towards existing cats in his foster home. He has also been around small dogs in foster care and was polite towards them. Hamilton needs his family to be people with some cat experience. He would be best in a home without young children. Ham is a big cat with a big heart, he has become a loyal and loving buddy in foster, and is now ready to give that love to his forever family!
