About Sheba
Meet Sheba the superstar 2-1/2 year old Red Heelerx
Sheba is a super sweet girl who deserves a forever home that will love and care for her in the most amazing way possible.
What do you get in return??? One of the most loyal and loving dogs I think we’ve ever met.
At present Sheba is living in a foster home with a resident kelpie x, a 14 year old girl and resident cat.
Sheba will wag her tail and smile just at the sound of her name or the words “good girl”.
Sheba eats well and at present is on a diet of prime and quality dry food
She is a little overweight and needs to shed some kilos.
Sheba also enjoys chicken and a fresh bone from the butcher as a treat. Sheba will sit for her food and will listen intently to you while she waits for her food and treats. Sheba shows no food aggression.
Sheba enjoys a daily walk and this is essential to get her weight back under control and to keep her fit and healthy
Sheba is okay on walks but when she sees other dogs she tends to be quite strong on the lead and can pull a bit hard. This is in excitement not aggression
Sheba is completely toilet trained and will take herself outside when needed.
At night Sheba is used to sleeping with her humans. She will hop up on the bed, get comfortable quickly and barely move all night. She will only stir when she hears a strange noise or when you do. When Sheba is really tired her eyes almost glow red! You’ll certainly know when it’s time to sleep!
Sheba would not suit a home where she is left alone for extended periods or you work very long hours. This is not the dog for you as she can miss her hoomans terribly and might cry a little if your home is empty for extended periods.
We have found that having the company of her fur brother is the best thing for her and she manages well with a bestie
Sheba needs a companion dog that is around the same size or bigger who is playful and has great social skills
In the past, Sheba has shown a tendency to jump fences. She can quite easily clear a 6 foot fence. However, since being with foster brother this time she has not displayed this behaviour.
Sheba has never ever destroyed anything in the home or yard
Sheba can and has scaled a 6 foot wooden fence to go for browse around the streets so we are seeking a home that has secure colorbond fencing or if you have standard wooden fence you would need to install a poly pipe system around the top so she cannot climb In saying this she has not attempted this for a long time so we are just playing it safe
Type of home we are looking for for Sheba
We definitely believe that Sheba will need a doggo in her life to keep her company when her humans go out as well as to keep her active.
We are seeking a loving playful male med to larger size
Sheba needs a decent backyard and must have access indoors at all times. Sheba must be allowed to sleep inside, preferably on the bed with her humans as this makes her calm and sleep well. Sheba needs to be walked everyday preferably by an adult or teenager who is strong enough to keep her in check. Sheba is fine with cats but can give chase when excited. She has never hurt resident cat. Small children are probably not a good idea in the household. Although Sheba is kind and loving, she does tend to jump up on you to say hello and with her weight and strength this could be problematic to little ones.
We would prefer a family that has someone home a lot as it is human contact and love that she craves and is the biggest way to ensure she stays calm and happy.
We will miss Sheba so much when she is gone, she is just a beautiful soul. However, we cannot wait until she finds her perfect forever home and to see her live out her life with love, kindness and a whole lotta snuggles!!!!!
Sheba comes with an amazing Zenify pack
