Meet Jane! This sweet brindle girl is ready to settle down and enjoy a quiet life with her forever family. Whilst Jane is quite a timid girl who is getting used to the sights and sounds of the great big world, her foster family says she is getting more confident every single day and will benefit from living with a family who will give her lots of love and patience – letting her discover new things at her own pace.
Jane is currently living in an apartment with another greyhound and is coping extremely well. She likes to have her own quiet retreat where she can hang out by herself, but she also loves hanging out in the lounge room while the humans watch tv. Jane is always excited to get into the elevator and loves to stand on the balcony and watch the world go by.
Jane has really benefited from having another greyhound to learn from, however we think she would be fine as a solo dog too!
She knows that walks mean going to the toilet and has also learnt how to use the bathroom setup on the balcony if she desperately needs to go to the toilet. Jane has beautiful leash manners but is still a bit nervous when going for walks – cars and people going past can be scary! It is important that Jane is given lots of encouragement and patience from her new family as she gets used to the sounds of the outside world. Because of this, we think that Jane would be better suited to living in a quiet neighbourhood away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Jane has been very friendly towards other dogs but is still slightly nervous. Further socialisation training would be very beneficial for Jane. If you are looking for a low-maintenance sweetheart and willing to give a lot of love, encouragement, and patience – Jane would be the perfect addition to your family!
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
