About Daisy
Daisy loves cuddles and a good belly scratch. She loves to be at the heart of your life, so be prepared to share your bed, couch and lap. Daisy very much considers herself a lap dog, and likes to curl up wherever she can, including in some interesting places! She doesn’t realise her size, so would best suit a home without small children.
Daisy loves other dogs although is probably more suited to dogs around her size than small dogs. and is suited to a home with another doggy companion. Daisy has not been around cats or other small animals. Being a staghound type, Daisy relishes daily exercise to meet her physical and mental needs and would love an active family. She also enjoys chasing around your yard.
Daisy is a fun-loving girl and loves getting visitors but can get overexcited when people arrive, and she will jump up, so her new family will have to work with her on this. She walks well on the lead however her recall can be lacking sometimes.
Daisy knows a few commands such as sit, wait, paw, touch, and free, and will wait before entering/exiting the house, car and for her dinner. She loves her toys, the hose and trampolines outside however she really is a dog who craves being with her humans and must be inside with her family as she will be anxious and chew/dig if left outside for periods of time.
Daisy can be anxious around some men, as well as out in public settings. Her current owners have been working with her to reduce her anxiety, however Daisy will need a patient new family who are willing to understand her fear and work with her, using positive reinforcement. Daisy takes medication for her anxiety and this will potentially be ongoing for the foreseeable future.
Daisy really is a sweet girl with so much heart and love to share, and should blossom with the right home.
If you are active, loving and understanding and enjoy a dog as your true companion, then Daisy might be just right for you.
