Nutmeg ❤

Nutmeg is a stunning tortie with the most captivating owl eyes. She’s very petite and has incredibly soft and silky fur.

Nutmeg came from a large colony and had very little interaction with people prior to fostering. She’s very sweet but needs a patient family who will accept her nervous disposition. Nutmeg takes time to come out of her shell, but when she gets there you’ll be rewarded with big purrs and a lot of affectionate head rubs. She loves to be around her people and keep an eye on what they’re doing. She’ll happily watch you for hours from her own spot on a shelf, cabinet or at the end of the bed (she will join you every night if you let her!)

The way to her heart is via treats like steamed chicken and gentle brushing in front of her TV. Seriously, she loves playing games on a phone or tablet and watching mice and bird videos! She also loves chasing lasers and string, but dislikes anything that makes too much noise (like toys with bells).

She is still getting used to being picked up and carried, just approach her slowly so she doesn’t panic. As she can be a nervous cat, her go-to response to something unexpected is to hide. She’s not aggressive, although she may threaten to bite if you only stroke her forehead - you have to go all the way down her back and tail! Long patting sessions can also overwhelm her and she gets easily confused about what she wants, so take regular breaks.

Nutmeg has experience with other cats and kittens and got on well with the younger ones. However, she is easily bullied so would need any feline family members to be very passive and friendly.

She really is the sweetest little cat who will greet you in the morning with chirps and winding around your legs. Can you give Nutmeg a forever home?
